Downloading my Will

Written by Sasha Best

When can I download my Will?

After you have submitted your Will for review, it is sent to our affiliate law firm Safewill Legal who will review your Will for you. Your Will is reviewed to ensure that the information you have entered correctly follows the questions that have been asked in the Safewill platform. The review process typically takes 1–3 business days under normal circumstances. However, during peak periods, such as promotional events, it may take 10–15 business days. You will receive an email notification once the review is complete, along with instructions for downloading and signing your will. If your Will has been approved: If our legal advisors have not picked up any concerns with your Will, you will receive an email letting you know your Will has been approved. Once your Will has been approved, you can log into your account to download your Will. If your Will has been flagged: If our legal advisors have identified any areas that require your attention, you will receive an email informing you about this and you will then be able to log into your account to see which areas have been flagged and our recommendations on next steps.

What Should I Do if My Will Is Flagged?

  1. Log In to Your Safewill Account: Begin by accessing your account on the Safewill platform.

  2. Review the Flag Notification: Upon logging in, you’ll see specific reasons why your will was flagged. This will provide guidance on whether updates are needed in the Estate/Gift section, Notes section, or elsewhere.

  3. Update Your Will Accordingly: Follow the provided instructions to make corrections or adjustments as necessary. Ensure that all legal and binding aspects are specified correctly.

  4. Save or Download the Adjusted Will: Once the changes are made, you can save or download the corrected version of your will for your records.

  5. Ignore the Flag: If you are comfortable with the notes being treated as non-binding guidance, you can dismiss the review flag by selecting the "Ignore" option. This informs the legal team that you are aware of the issue but do not wish to make changes.
