Can I create a Will on someone's behalf with Safewill?

Written by Sasha Best

You cannot create a Will on someone’s behalf, without their knowledge or consent.

Additionally, the person named in the Will must have the mental capacity to understand and agree to the Will before signing it and having it witnessed.

Safewill cannot provide legal advice or assessments on the capacity of an individual.

If your client, friend or family member asks you to assist them with completing their Will on the Safewill platform, then you may do so. Each will is specific to one individual, and the person being assisted must create their own account and purchase their will separately. You cannot create a will for someone else under your account.
